Catflash
Catflash gets you into a vault or a Catscrow position from a single token. You do not need to build the LP yourself first: pick what you hold, and Catflash swaps and pairs it for you, then finishes the deposit.
In the app it is the Flash tab on every vault, and Flash into LP when you open a Catscrow position.
What you can flash from
| Where | You can start from |
|---|---|
| A MOTO LP vault (e.g. MOTO/USDT) | Either side of the pair — USDT or MOTO |
| A vault or position whose pair includes WETH | Native ETH instead of WETH — nothing to wrap first |
| An ETH LP vault (e.g. WBTC/WETH) | WBTC or ETH |
| The single-sided MOTO vault | ETH, swapped straight into MOTO |
| A Catscrow position | Either side of the chosen pool's pair, the same way |
What happens when you click
One click runs the whole chain. Each step is still its own transaction, so your wallet asks you to sign each one in turn:
- Approve the token you are spending — skipped for native ETH, and skipped once you have approved before.
- Flash — part of your input is swapped into the other side of the pair (the zap works out the exact split), and both sides are added as LP. The LP lands in your wallet.
- Finish — for a vault, approve and deposit that LP; for Catscrow, open the position with it.
Before you sign, the panel shows an estimated amount of LP (or of MOTO, for the single-sided vault). The flash is sent with a 1% slippage limit against that estimate: if the market moves further than that before it lands, it reverts, and nothing is swapped.
If the second half fails
The flash and the finish are separate transactions. If the flash lands but the finish fails — a rejected signature, a network hiccup — the panel remembers exactly how much LP the flash produced and offers to finish the deposit (or open the position) without flashing again. The LP is in your wallet either way.
Gas and the MAX button
When you flash from native ETH, the same ETH pays for gas. So MAX and the percentage buttons leave some ETH back for gas. For a Catscrow flash, that reserve covers the flash and the position opening after it.
On a very small ETH balance the reserve can be larger than the balance itself. The shortcuts then switch off, and the panel says why. You can still type an amount; when opening a Catscrow position, the panel also warns you if it would leave too little gas to finish.
Whose contract it is
Catflash is part of the Catpound app, but the flash itself runs through MotoSwap's own
zap contract (UniswapZap), and the single-sided vault's swap through the Uniswap V2
router. Catpound deploys no contract for it and never holds your tokens on the way
through.
MotoSwap's zap refuses any token that takes a fee on transfer. FLOKI is one: its pools cannot be flashed into, on Catpound or anywhere else that uses MotoSwap's zap. Add liquidity to those pools directly instead.
